Angoulême. Covid-19 screening operation on the station forecourt

The regional health agency of Nouvelle-Aquitaine has launched free screening operations for Covid-19 since the beginning of June. This Thursday and Friday, they take place in front of the Angoulême station in Charente. Next week it will be in Bressuire in Deux-Sèvres.

Since the beginning of June, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Health Agency has been traveling the region to offer free tests for Covid-19. It is a question of carrying out a maximum of test and especially of facilitating the access to the tests of people distant from the health system. For example, on June 4 and 5, free screening and no appointment were offered to homeless people in La Rochelle.

Two days of screening in Angoulême

Thursday 25 and Friday 26 June, the ARS is in Angoulême on the forecourt of the station. The operation takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is not necessary to make an appointment. Just go to the teams on site with a protective mask, ID and your social security number.

The PCR test is performed using a swab that collects nasal cells. This act is not very pleasant because it is necessary to introduce the swab fairly deep in the nose. However, this withdrawal is rapid.

As for the motivations of people who came to be tested, they are diverse. For Lydia, for example, it is to be sure not to risk contaminating the elderly and the children she comes into contact with.

For Christiane, it’s different.

I will finally be able to kiss my little neighbor who is four and a half years old and who I have not kissed since the start of confinement.
