the clearing of the Pignada and Lazaret forests and the wood of the Hunters at Anglet started this Monday, March 28. The maintenance work will last approx. three weeks.
Prevent the spread of fires
The work will begin with the edges of the Pignada and the Bois des Chasseurs within a perimeter of 30 to 50 m. The interior paths of the Pignada will then be maintained 5 to 10 m on either side of the greenways and main secondary paths.
Thank you for your vigilance for your safety and for the safety of the field agents.
Finally, the forest of Lazaret on its edge as well as its greenway will be cleared. The natural vegetation will grow back this spring and new maintenance will be possible in certain sectors just before summer.
These projects are supervised by theNational Forestry Office (ONF) and are carried out in agreement with State services in order to ” reduce any risk of fire spreading “says the city of Anglet.
Work will be carried out depending on favorable weather conditions.
