A new Health and Well-being meeting is organized this Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Anglet in order to raise awareness and inform la population on the dangers of the sea et initiate first aid gestures.
Initiation to first aid gestures
The Rendez-vous Santé Bien-être is the result of a partnership between the City of Anglet and the Center Hospitalier de la Côte Basque. In order to prepare for the summer period as well as possible, a day of awareness of good habits to adopt on the coast is organized on Saturday June 11 on the esplanade of Les Sables d’Or. The appointment is given to everyone from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Professionals from the Center Hospitalier de la Côte Basque and, more particularly from SAMU 64A, will offer free 15-minute initiation workshops to first aid gestures.

Recently a surfer rescued two people in Anglet when the swimmers were swept away by the current. Information on the traps of the ocean will also be presented (baïnes, currents along rocky groynes, shorebreak…) and on the rules to follow to surf in complete safety.
This action is open to everyone and does not require any prior registration. Musical entertainment will take place at 12 p.m. with the “Blues Blanches Orkestra”.
