Stade Poitevin led in points at the start of the match marked by a false rhythm caused as much by Anglet as by the heat. While the Basques had only struck once on goal after 20 minutes, they found the fault in the heart of an apathetic defense. Jaki’s center back was taken by Lu. Anglet was hot
The domination of the teammates of C. Jean-Etienne, confirmed in midfield this Saturday, remained sterile. At the break, the Genêts dislodged Poitiers from the podium. On the hour mark, the young Baldoni replaced Cuvier in order to shake up a formation which seemed, if not resigned, at least incapable of hurting the opponent. At this degree of impotence, Poitou possession was anecdotal.
Anglet, against, got a break point, but Jaki, taking advantage of an error from Amiens, stumbled on Cattier (65th). Baude responded with a free kick that Lesec slammed (72nd) before turning away with the end of the gloves a recovery from Fourmy (75th). Stade Poitevin finally turned up the sound like a whim from the restless Baldoni on the edge of the Anglo goal (78th). Anglet was still threatening by Lapeyre (81st) then Mendiburu (82nd), author of a goal disallowed for offside. Baude, in stoppage time, wasted the equalizing ball (90th + 4). Les Genêts make a good 3rd.
