The town of Anglès has implemented, with the help of the state, social pricing in the school canteen, to allow children from the most modest families to eat in the canteen for €1 maximum.
“School, the last public service, is one of my priorities and has always been, despite the drop in numbers, we have established the Canteen for 1 €, free daycare including educational activities supervised by two municipal agents. Internships at the swimming pool including transport, meals and a lifeguard are offered to children during school holidays. At the end of the year, the town hall offers a gift to each child, distributed by Santa Claus during the end of year show with a snack and many surprises.
I am proud of our ever more active associations which contribute to the quality of life that reigns in Anglès. The rooms are packed and you have to book them well in advance. New management will emerge in 2024 to facilitate the organization of events throughout the year.”
