The body was found from SAR unit 1 which carried out a ground sweep. The team saw a suspicious object in front of the ‘Karang Monang’ rock. SAR unit 1 contacted the ship’s team to get closer to confirm the object.

It is known that the floating object is the victim of the angler rolled up in the waves on Wednesday.

The location of the discovery is to the west of the TKP approximately 1 kilometer.

However, due to the waves, the marine team could not approach the body. Finally the land team swam and evacuated the victim’s body on behalf of Subardi.

“Then we took the joint SAR to Wonosari Hospital for an autopsy,” said Sunu.

Previously, Subardi (38), a resident of Nglipar Lor Village, Nglipar Village, Kapanewon Nglipar, came to Wediombo Beach with his wife Ika Lia (28) and their children at around 06.30 WIB.

With his family, the victim walked to the dander fishing spot on the east side Wediombo beach. When fishing, the victim is positioned on the rock with his back to the wave. Thus, the victim does not realize that there is a large wave from behind.

“Immediately the victim was rolled up by the waves and dragged into the sea and drowned,” said Sunu when contacted by telephone, Wednesday.
