Angkot 06A Collapses in Jakarta: Ojol Driver and Passenger Injured in Accident

One municipal transport unit (angkot) 06A collapsed on the Jatinegara-Gandaria route a taxi online (ojol) carrying passengers and a car that was stopped on Jalan Raya Bogor, Cirakas District, East Jakarta. Police said the incident ended peacefully.

“That’s right (peaceful),” Head of the Traffic Accidents Unit for the East Jakarta Metro Police, Inspector Darwis Sunarta, told reporters, Saturday (11/5/2024).

Dervish said driver The ojol has the initials MF (39), and the traveler has the initials DH (39). He said both of them had facial injuries.

“Wounds on the face are being treated at Pasar Rebo Regional Hospital, East Jakarta,” he said.

He said that both of them had also returned from the hospital. The police said that the reckless public transport driver will compensate for the losses caused by the incident on Monday (13/5) the day after tomorrow.

“The victim only received minor injuries, he has gone home from the hospital. He only needs compensation for what he lost, we will see him again on Monday,” he said.

Inspector Darwis Sunarta also explained the history of the incident. An accident it happened Friday afternoon (10/5). The police confirmed that the public transport was driving recklessly until it hit an ojol that was stopped at a red light.

“Arriving under the Pasar Rebo flyover in Pasar Rebo area, East Jakarta, it was suspected that the speed was high and he was not careful enough, so the public transport vehicle hit M.06 NRKB B-2134- WT behind the Honda NRKB Motorcycle B-3638-SZA was stopped waiting for a red light,” he said.

Darwis said that the public transport was traveling from south to north through Jl Raya Bogor. He said public transport also hit a car that was stopped at the red light.

“Subsequently, the public transport vehicle M.06 NRKB B-2134-WT crashed into the left rear of a Toyota Avanza minibus NRKB B-2879-ZS,” he said.

The motorcycle taxi driver with the initials MF then went after being hit by public transport. This resulted in MF and his initials DH falling from the motorcycle and sustaining facial injuries.

“So the Honda motorcycle went down and fell, resulting in injuries to the driver and the passenger of the Honda motorcycle,” he said.
