Anger towards Carina Berg after the pictures in SVT: “Don’t feel…” | Swedish Lady

Melodifestivalen 2o24 is waiting around the corner. On Saturday, it’s finally time to kick off the folk festival that causes balloons to fly, hands to applaud and mouths to shout out tributes to the artists performing on stage.

The person who has been given the honor of leading this year’s Mello is none other than Carina Berg. She herself is overjoyed about the assignment and in connection with the disclosure she could only express herself with joy in her voice.

– I feel so honored and happy that I will be hosting the entire tjotta balloon. It’s the biggest TV production I’ve been involved in, so it doesn’t just feel big, it IS big. It’s going to be so much fun and I can’t wait for it to start.

But Carina Berg and SVT have already received criticism. On Social Media the channel has published a trailer for Melodifestivalen where Carina Berg is holding a snake, while Skansen-Jonas is standing there holding a box.

– What happens if it starts to burn, says Carina Berg and looks at the animal expert Jonas.

– Then we rename it to Sir Fräs, says Skansen-Jonas, referring to the snake Sir Väs that escaped from Skansen two years ago.

But several of the followers don’t think it’s particularly funny. Some feel sorry for the snake, others don’t want to see that kind of animal in an entertainment program like Melodifestivalen.

“Will you have animals like elephants in the show? Doesn’t feel like 2024. Three thumbs down!”, writes one person.

“Animals do not belong in the entertainment industry,” writes another.

“Hope there won’t be any snakes on Saturday! I get scared even if it’s on TV,” writes a third.
