Christian Bachler is under great pressure to lose his court.
Steiermark. The mountain farmer Christian Bachler runs the highest farm (1,450 m) in Styria. He became known as anger farmer when he sharply criticized Falter editor-in-chief Florian Klenk in a video last year for his comment on the cow judgment. The Cracow man say what he thinks, he refuses factory farming, he criticizes the authorities, he is trying to live the dream of organic farming here. He also warns of the consequences of climate change in the Alps, he describes himself on his homepage. But now his agriculture is about to end.
A bank in Murau called its loans. If the bank’s plans go well, his farm will be auctioned off. His debt is threatening to crush him. That’s why he’s now calling for donations on his homepage to the public. You can donate to him or “buy meat”, says Bachler. You can go on vacation with him or hike in his alpine pastures.
Alpine pastures offered for sale
Bachler has already offered some alpine pastures for sale in order to save his farm, his animals and the existence of his family. “He has a restructuring plan to keep his operations going for the next few years. But in order to manage all of this, the Wutbauer needs our quick help through crowdfunding,” says the website.
