ANGEM: 62 billion DA in loans granted to finance 933,000 projects

The director general of the National Micro Credit Management Agency (ANGEM), Abdel Fateh Djabnoune, revealed this Sunday, April 4, 2021, during his visit to Radio Chaîne I, that the agency had granted 62 billion dinars in loans to finance around 933,000 projects since its creation.

He explained that the agency granted 62 billion dinars in the form of financing loans which contributed to the creation of 1.38 million direct and indirect jobs, adding that the group which benefited the most from the mechanism was the women, who accounted for 63.59%, especially in the area of ​​loans for the purchase of raw materials.

He said that as part of its strategy to help women, the agency will devote 50% of its budget in 2021 to women, 40% of which will be for housewives, against 30% for rural women.

Mr. Djabnoune said that these loans would favor rural women in various activities, such as livestock related activities, land use in the production of vegetables, fruits, plants and decorative flowers, traditional industries. , veterinary and other activities.

The DG of Angem confirmed that the Agency offers two types of loans, the first for the purchase of raw materials, the value of which does not exceed 10 million centimes and can reach 25 million centimes in the southern wilayas. , while the second loan concerns the purchase of equipment and which is 100 million cents.

He stressed: “There is a study to increase the value of the loan, but not at the present time, given the economic conditions that the country is going through”.
