Angelina Jolie plays soprano Maria Callas in a biopic: “I hope I don’t let you down”

Angelina Jolie was in the Venice Film Festival accompanying her most recent production. It is a film in which she puts herself in the shoes of the soprano Maria Callas and even dares to give it his voice.

“I trained for months, first with very few team members and then with a lot of people, so I had time to calm my nerves. It was definitely the hardest thing I ever did, I was terrified.” Angelina told the press.
The feature film tells the last week of the singer’s life, in the city of Paris. Maria Callas died at the age of 53 and spent her last days tormented by her difficult love story with the millionaire magnate Aristotle Onassis.
“There are hardly any films about opera stars,” said the director, who used Jolie’s voice mixed with original recordings of the singer for the film.
