Actress Angelina Jolie has filed court papers mocking her ex-husband Brad Pitt for claiming he “built” their business on French winemaking, even though he only visited vineyards to admire the work of the French workers who actually set up the business.
“I’m a farmer now,” Pete, 59, said in 2014. “I love learning about the land and looking for the most suitable field to grow grapes, and being interested in things like: Are we picking today? Lawyers for Jolie, 48, on Friday filed a joint complaint in the endless legal battle over the winery the couple bought together in 2011. The papers feature allegations, previously filed by Pitt’s lawyers, that Jolie’s decision to sell her stake in the business threatened to wreck the venture and she described The idea that Pete built the company himself is laughable.
“Pete is an actor, not a winemaker, who deals with fantasies, not dirt and grapes,” says Jolie. The complaint says Pete “looted” the company, spending millions of dollars in profits on frivolous projects, including renovating a recording studio. Jolie’s lawyers say Pitt owes her private holding company $350 million, according to the Big6 website.
