International star Angelina Jolie expressed her sadness and pain from the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria, and called for donations for the afflicted and affected, as she announced her donation to the Turkish charitable funds, which work in civil defense activities.
Angelina Jolie posted a video clip on her Instagram account, of a search and rescue member in northwestern Syria, crying out for help, saying: “We need your help.” The video also showed pictures of the destruction, and a picture of the father who was holding the hand of his daughter, who died under the rubble.
Angelina Jolie commented on the video, saying: “My heart is with the people of Syria and Turkey, and it is difficult to understand the unimaginable pain that so many families are going through,” adding: “I hope others will consider donating so that they can continue their work to save lives.”
