Mexican actress Angelica Vale continues to bet on remote theater with the theatrical experiment Artists incognito and enjoy the amazing success of Angelicales, the digital project that he carries out with his mother, the so-called Bride of Mexico, Angélica María.

“It was a surprise. We started doing it, literally, because we had nothing to do. My fans began to say ‘why don’t you give us a recipe right now that you’re at home?’ “, The actress from The parody (2002-2006).

The project, which is broadcast on Angélica’s YouTube channel, has grown little by little: they began to record with a mobile phone and a lamp, and they now have microphones and a more professional equipment to please their 127,000 fans.

“We never thought that we were going to make so many recipes or tips, we are very funny there,” admits Vale.

In addition, he considers that his foray into this platform has made new generations know about the close relationship he maintains with his mother and that, with it, concerns have arisen in the public to know how they have achieved it.

“My mom and I have always been close. She is my neighbor, this pandemic brought us even closer. I think now they are realizing how well I get along with her ”, explains the comedian, who claims to be preparing a video about it.

Nevertheless, Angelicales it has not been the only job that has kept her “alive” during the pandemic.

Before the confinement began, Angelica began her radio show in Los Angeles, where she currently resides.

“My radio program was what saved me, because I need a place as an artist to bring out what is inside me,” she mentions excitedly.

A break to soap operas

Meanwhile, she gives theater a chance, another format that she greatly enjoys and will host the second season of the project. Artists incognito, a theatrical experiment in which 10 renowned actors will write a monologue anonymously and later will be drawn to interpret them at random.

“The theme is unforgettable loves. We don’t know what will come of all these monologues, if they are going to be comedy or drama ”, he points out.

Artists incognito will be presented virtually on Sunday, February 28 and will challenge the ingenuity of interpreters like Jesús Zavala, Itatí Cantoral or Kika Edgar, who will have to share the process of their writing and record their interpretation of the anonymous monologue.
