(CNN) — Actress Angelica Ross thanked Emma Roberts, her co-star on “American Horror Story: 1984,” for apologizing after Ross accused Roberts of referring to her by the wrong gender.
“Thank you @RobertsEmma for calling and apologizing, acknowledging that your behavior was not that of an ally,” the “Pose” star shared. this Wednesday at X (formerly Twitter). “I will leave the door open for your desire to do better and support social justice causes with your platform.”

Ross, a transgender woman, previously stated during a Instagram Live, which was spread on other platforms, that while speaking with Roberts during the filming of “American Horror Story: 1984”, Roberts made a transphobic comment.
According to Ross, when the director told them, “Well, ladies, you know, that’s enough. Let’s get back to work,” Roberts allegedly responded, “You don’t mean miss?”
After the story began to go viral, Ross shared a message on social media for those who, according to her, were threatening Roberts.

“Let me make something absolutely clear. I appreciate the support but please don’t joke about the violence towards Emma. Joke about your responsibility,” wrote in X. “Now that’s funny.”
And it looks like Ross has more to say.
“I’m glad I don’t have to explain what’s really going on to those who understand and care,” published in X this Wednesday. “People pick up bits and pieces and take them away without understanding what’s going on. I’ve tried to give them digestible bits. But I’ve been offered the space to go into more detail soon.”
