Some were there from the start of the afternoon, to be closer to the stage and see Jérémy Frérot, Tayc, Naps or even Juliette Armanet, competing in the musical competition.
Already the day before, there were more than 6,000 people waiting several hours to be able to applaud the very popular, long-awaited and Libre Angela. The young Belgian artist opened the ball before leaving the stage to Kendji Girac and Amir.

In a good-natured atmosphere, adults and children followed Nikos, “super happy to share with you” this moment of television, which did not spare its share of surprises!

The most Andalusian of French artists came, once again, to defend one of his songs. Just like Amir, Kendji Girac twice climbed to the top step of the podium for “The song of the year”. In 2015 with Andalusian and the following year with I’m burning.

This year, the singer came with Conquistador. “It is a very joyful sound, the story of a man who wants to conquer a heart. We find of course my roots, the musical style with the gipsy guitar”. Kendji went behind the camera by the way, to make the clip for this song.

This edition recorded in Toulon is a bit like playing at home for someone who has lived in Sanary for five years. “It’s a small town that I appreciate for its calm and beauty. The people are nice, the sea and the sun don’t spoil anything.”
In addition to his tour, which is happening this summer at the Lives de Saint-Raphaël, the artist is in full preparation of a new album planned for the start of the school year.

A comeback which will also be an opportunity to discover him in a completely different register, that of an actor. He will be in the cast of Championa film produced by TF1 where he will play a young man who tries to hide his illiteracy.
“For my first film, I wanted to talk about this subject that has been close to my heart for a long time, I myself had difficulties when I was younger. I wanted to break down the prejudices on this subject.”
Amir is a regular on the show. Two-time Song of the Year winner, with Looks like in 2014 and A long time in 2017. He competes this year with his title Retina.
In addition to this performance, the artist also gave voice, place Puget, for a video capsule which will be part of the clip broadcast this Saturday evening, at the start of the program.

Amir will be present at the Nuits du Réal in Les Arcs on Tuesday July 12, as well as at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice on Thursday December 15.
