Angela Merkel reveals the scenario behind the 2014-2015 Minsk agreement

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, BERLIN – Former German Chancellor Angela Merkal explained what the scenario was behind Minsk Agreement 2014-2015.

Germany and France are guarantors or guarantors behind the Ukraine-Russia deal to resolve conflicts in the region Donbass.

The essence of the Minsk agreement is to place the Luganks and Donetz regions as special autonomous regions under the sovereignty of the Ukrainian state.

The mostly Russian-speaking and educated region took up arms after the 2014 Maidan coup in Kiev. They refused to submit to the Kiev government.

Angela Merkel has claimed that the Minsk deal is a hoax and is meant to buy time for Ukraine to strengthen its military.

In a magazine interview time published on Wednesday (7/12/2022), Merkel said the Minsk protocol brokered by Germany and France is a farce.

Ukraine had a chance to become stronger, as demonstrated on the battlefield today.

He was referring to the first of two documents collectively known as Minsk Agreement designed to help Kiev make peace with the rebels in the east.

This is Merkel’s first statement, which clearly confirms the facts behind the causes of the current Ukrainian conflict.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Merkel’s statement a response to the two-faced attitude of the Berlin government towards the conflict in Ukraine.

Berlin and further west, according to Zakharova, never intended to implement Minsk Agreement.

The United States and its allies, according to Zakharova, are pretending to support United Nations Security Council resolutions advocating a road map to Ukrainian peace, while pumping weapons into Ukraine.

Zakharova said, ignoring all the crimes committed by the Kiev regime, for the sake of a decisive attack on Russia.

In an interview with Zeit, Merkel said that Russia could easily invade Ukrainian troops in 2015.
