It’s no big secret anymore that Angela and her husband no longer live together under the same roof. After her husband tells her that he needs more time for himself, he moves into their house on the Vinkeveense Plassen and Angela moves to the Amsterdam canals. A choice that, in retrospect, the ex-Dolly Dot is quite content with.

“We really see each other a lot. We text a lot, talk to each other. He also comes here regularly so that we are with the whole family.” The latter is something Angela is most proud of: her family. “That’s the situation now. Actually, it’s better now that he lives on his own.”
But the fact that the two don’t have a traditional marriage makes Angela miss her husband very much at times. “I also miss him now and then. I would have preferred he was at home. We’ve lived on top of each other for 28 years and sometimes things don’t go the way you want them to go.”
