The actor Angel Georgiev – Acho died at the age of 68, the Ministry of Culture announced, referring to the actor’s relatives.
Angel Georgiev – Acho was born on December 28, 1944 in Vratsa. Graduated acting in VITIZ “Kr. Sarafov” in 1968 under Prof. Zelcho Mandajiev. He works as an actor in the Drama Theater – Blagoevgrad, Drama Theater – Pazardzhik, 30 years in the Satirical Theater. Since 2002, he has been in the troupe of the Theater “Sofia”. He has over 100 roles in the theater and even more in radio, television and cinema. Among his roles are: Sotir in “Odysseus travels to Ithaca” by K. Iliev, Mancho in “Vrazalets” and Kochev in “The New Port” by St. L. Kostov, The Irresponsible in “Flight”, Tikhov in “Mammoth”, The Hanging in “Sueder jacket” from St. Stratiev, Michal in “Mihal Mishkoed” by S. Dobroplodni, the man in “Marriage Etude” by E. Olby, President Delbek in “Hotel between this and that world” by E.E. Schmidt, Boris – pop in “Alexander’s Horse” Veliki” and Joseph in “All Mad Men Love Me” by Stefan Tsanev, Baptista Minola in “The Taming of the Shrew” by Shakespeare and others. Winner of national awards: 1969 – IV national review of Bulgarian drama and theater for the role of Boril in “Kaloyan” by Kamen Zidarov, National review of the youth play – Ruse for the role of Chasovnikov in “Ocean” by Al. Stein, First prize for a radio play of a national review – Gr. Razlog for the role of the Wolf in “The Secret Power of Pepo the Bear” by D. Dimitrov, 1989 – National Review of Bulgarian Drama and Theater for the role of Madzharov and Ungarsky in “Obitache human?” by Miron Ivanov; 1998 – “Ikar” Award of SAB for the best male role – Michal in “Mihal Mishkoed” by Sava Dobroplodni.
