Juarez City.- With messages of support for migrants, Pastor Carlos Mayorga, coordinator of the Ciudad Juárez Messenger Angels group of the Psalm 100 Christian Church, manifests himself dressed as an angel on the streets of New York.
Wearing white dresses, large wings and bright white body paint, young people from the Psalm 100 Christian Church have taken to the streets since 2009, bearing messages of peace against violence. And this time it is its coordinator who started a demonstration for the United States, which began in New York and will continue in New Jersey, Utah and then other cities in New Mexico and Texas, until it culminates in the international bridges of this border.
He explained that it is a demonstration in support of migrants, and against the immigration policy of Texas Governor Gregory Wayne (Greg) Abbott.
“We believe that the declarations of the governor of Texas contribute nothing to the psychological and emotional well-being of the people who for many years have been contributing to the economy of this nation. That is why our message is also addressed to the president of the United States, with the intention that he join in the respect and, of course, the possible legalization of Mexicans and Latin Americans who have been living in this country for many years.” , he said by phone.
“Joe Biden supports immigrants and you will be sincerely blessed Jehovah,” reads one of the messages that the border man carried on Tuesday in the streets of New York, during his first day of protest.
“The number of Mexicans arriving in the United States with the intention of working is growing exorbitantly, which means that Mexico is becoming a country of people who export labor. And knowing that they are contributing a lot to the economy of the United States, we wanted to launch this message, which has been received in a good way by the Mexicans who work here,” said Mayorga.
He said that the demonstration will continue throughout the month of May and part of June, with a message of protest and hope for all Mexicans who left everything to be able to come to the United States in search of a better quality of life, and send remittances to the territory. Mexican.
“People from New York, the speaker René Silva and Angélica Silva, are supporting me, giving a hopeful message to migrants,” he reported.
For 13 years, the Messenger Angels of Ciudad Juárez have gone out to demonstrate in cities in Mexico, the United States and other countries such as Venezuela, where they have asked for respect and solidarity from Mexicans and foreigners who cross the country and seek to reach the United States.
