The 29-year-old goalscorer, whose contract with Spurs expires in June 2024, is wanted, among others, by Bayern Munich, which is looking for a world-class center forward since the departure of the Polish Robert Lewandowski to FC Barcelona a year ago.
“I had a good conversation with Harry… nothing momentous or final,” Postecoglou, appointed to manage Spurs in June, said ahead of Tottenham’s pre-season friendly against West Ham in Perth, Australia on Tuesday.
“Harry and I are in complete agreement on the fact that we want the team to be successful this year,” added the former Australia coach.
“He is here, and as long as he is here he is fully committed to what we do,” Postecoglou said.
Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeness told reporters on Saturday that Kane had “decided” to join the Bavarian giant.
“Nobody has spoken to me since Munich,” Postecoglou said. “If other clubs want to talk about our contract players, it’s more of a problem for them than for us,” added the 57-year-old.
