Andy Robertson criticizes the use of VAR: – Itches me in the head

Video judging is in bad weather during the day. Robertson still does not understand why there was no penalty in Saturday’s game against Burnley.

Towards the end of Saturday’s 1-1 match against Burnley, Andy Robertson went down in Burnley’s penalty area after being fouled by Johan Berg Gudmundsson.

Immediately after the situation, Robertson crashed into Judge David Coote, and according to The Mirror, TV cameras must have captured clips of the Scot saying:

– You saw nothing during the whole match, what’s the point of having you here then?

Despite the fact that Robertson now admits that he regrets the wording one hears in the video that is circulating, there are still aspects of the VAR system that the Liverpool player does not fully understand.

– It still itches in my head

Robertson tells Sky Sports that he still does not understand why there was no penalty in the situation against Burnley.

– I still scratch my head, the hill must have said.

The Scotland captain is also clear that VAR has not done its job in recent weeks it has been Premier League football.

– In recent weeks, there have been four or five decisions for me that should have gone the opposite way, something I think many agree with me.

“The fact that we have about 40 cameras with 40 different angles should keep the decisions correct,” Robertson told Sky Sports.

Former Premier League referee critical

In the 34th round, former top judge, Dermot Gallagher, has been critical of as many as three VAR decisions.

For him, it was obviously not a penalty in the situation where Bruno Fernandes went over in the penalty area, in Manchester United’s 3-0 victory over Aston Villa.

In addition, Gallagher is said to have said that Burnley’s stopper, James Tarkowski, should have been sent off for a tackle on West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, and that Southampton received a wrongly awarded penalty kick against Everton, according to Sky Sports.
