The president of PASOK-KINAL, Nikos Androulakis, will spend the day of August 15 with members of his family and close friends, in his hometown of Crete.
Mr. Androulakis earlier attended the doxology at the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Virgin in Mastaba, Heraklion, while at the end of the doxology, in his statements, he wished everyone for the great celebration of Orthodoxy.
“Happy birthday to all the celebrants. Happy birthday to all Greek women and all Greeks everywhere on Earth” said Nikos Androulakis, adding that “today we celebrate the Dormition of the Virgin Mary who represents for the Greek people, the refuge of hope and strength”.
Referring to the devastating fires, he said: “Unfortunately, this year too we did not avoid the large and destructive fires that plunged the citizens into anger and despair. We owe it to future generations to protect our natural wealth. We have a duty to create a functional, meritocratic, durable state that will protect nature and people. A state which will be able to create more opportunities for future generations. A state that will create a fair society and a productive economy”.
