Nikos Androulakis appeared optimistic about the course of PASOK and the outcome of the intra-party battle, speaking on the show “Society Hour MEGA”

“PASOK is second in all opinion polls, it has taken brave steps and must take one more… The political environment now favors us. It’s an opportunity that we created with effort and struggle,” emphasized Mr. Androulakis and pointed out that “if we do better in the basin, PASOK will fly. It’s best not to underestimate. In 2.5 years, PASOK has achieved much more than it had achieved in previous years. We can jump.”

What will I change if elected – What mistakes did I make?

“We are all human and we make mistakes,” said Mr. Androulakis when he was asked for an assessment of his presence in the leadership of PaSoK. “My strength is the people of PASOK and not the barons or their interests. PASOK elected organizations, opened offices all over Greece, not with PASOK’s money, but with its members’.

As one of PASoK’s mistakes, as Mr. Androulakis pointed out, was that “PASOK understood the big issue that existed in the urban centers and made a special plan to get its message across. It didn’t get our message and our program across to as many people as it should have. In my opinion there should have been more presence in the media, a strong social media strategy and door to door, to let people know that our program addresses the great inequalities and the problems of everyday life. Thus, PASOK will once again become the party of the underprivileged.”

What did he say about social media?

Mr. Androulakis was revealing about his relationship with social media. “I did Tik Tok to show that if I want I can do this too. But is that what we are for? We need to be more serious. I think it demeans me and the people I address, i.e. the Greek people, to do everything for a wrap. I wasted many man hours trying to find solutions.

For example, seeing a problem such as the housing crisis: looking at what is happening in the world and coming to say that we must do some things based on our capabilities. If we have to communicate something to the world, we have to do it better. If we are to do communication policy with snails, dogs, kittens, potatoes and tomatoes, let there be a limit. I understand the terms of communication today but I understand that Greece is not doing well.”
