“Two years ago, on days like this, I was passing through the door of the Supreme Court, revealing the scandal of the illegal software Predator and the simultaneous -“collusive” for the government and apparently for the justice system – the same goals of the EYP and Pedator” he said the president of PaSoK, Nikos Androulakis, in his intervention at the Plenary Session of the Parliament.
“Coincidentally, the Predator’s targets are also targets of surveillance by the Hellenic Secret Service,” he said.
He noted that “over the course of these two years, we learned that our country became a center for the export of the illegal Predator software, because quite simply it could not be exported from Israel to African states or countries that do not have strong institutions. This is what Greece did and unfortunately it was one shameful tactic of selling this software to illiberal regimesknowing that they are most likely to be used against human rights, against political opponents, risking the lives of thousands of people in third world countries.”
“And all with the blessings of ND. In fact, Mr. Mitsotakis has the then general secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today to say a big “thank you” to him as director of the ND,” he added.
«So a machine was set up to serve financial interests. It’s not just that they listened to us, they won millions of euros. It is not only a scandal of violation of human rights, it is also a huge financial scandal that undermines human rights, the rule of law, a scandal of deep corruption with a turnover of millions,” he said.
“Devilish Coincidence”
“According to the Personal Data Protection Authority, 87 people, ministers, many ND ministers, businessmen, prosecutors, the leadership of the Armed Forces, journalists, were targeted with the Predator. By diabolical coincidence, at least a third of them were also monitored by the EYP.

So what is the EYP, Mr. Mitsotakis, his ministers afraid of and they are not disclosing the decisions that are legal in all respects, according to the prosecutor of the Supreme Court, as she claims?” he emphasized.
“The wiretapping case is a double scandal”
“The attempt to hide the responsibilities of Maximus and the deep state have infected the coordinated powers of the country. First, Maximus infected the secret services and now he infects the Judiciary as well. This is the reality” emphasized N. Androulakis.

Answering Ad. Georgiadis who “demanded that we ask for an ‘apology’ from the prime minister’s nephew Mr. Grigoris Dimitriadis, who was dismissed by Mr. Mitsotakis as soon as he understood what had happened and where things were going both internally and at the European level, when he publicly stated that “I did not pose a national risk”, the president of PaSoK said that “soon Mr. Georgiadis will tell us that he proposes to Mr. Mitsotakis to re-hire Mr. Dimitriadis and Mr. Kontoleon together after a lot of trouble to continue their “lovely” work”.
“So Mr. Mitsotakis must apologize for “sacrificing” them, not us,” said N. Androulakis.
“Laundry” of responsibilities
“Today’s decision to file the case works as a temporary ‘laundry’ of responsibilities of the current rulers, as long as you will be rulers. Because in every democracy things change and when things change everything will go on a different path. Institutions, respect for human rights and separation of powers will function normally. This is imposed by the European acquis and the struggle of every democrat,” he stressed.
He said that “it is not a personal matter, but a struggle to not change the citizens’ perception of how our democracy should function properly”.
N. Androulakis spoke of “revelation today that the research was preliminaries with carbon deposits, without asking the protagonists of the scandal, nor the “why”” and added: “So the case file was quickly removed by two honest younger prosecutors. But we are here to continue our fight to defend the rule of law with all our strength.”
He expressed his belief that “the truth will win in the end”.
“Mitsotakis sealed his political legacy today”
“As always the light defeats the darkness, no matter how much Mr. Mitsotakis and his colleagues think they are done with this story,” said N. Androulakis, thanking from the floor of the Parliament “the two honest prosecutors of the first court who tried to make the their work under adverse conditions, the Independent Authorities who opposed the systematic assassination of characters by the current Minister of Health who had the audacity to want us to ask for an “apology” from Mr. Dimitriadis. Mr. Androulakis emphasized that we will “continue our honest fight against this dark state”.
He said that “Mr. Mitsotakis sealed his political legacy today, the historian of the future will record him as the mastermind of a dark parastatal apparatus that brought back to the fore practices far from any kind of European acquis.”
“This dark legacy will follow you, Mr. Mitsotakis, until the end of your political journey,” he said.
“The cases that are filed, sometimes, are retrieved by officials who respect their oath and you can be sure of that,” said the president of PASOK and added: “As far as I’m concerned, this lonely, sometimes bitter legal battle, which judged by various elements of the political system, it will continue until the end”.
He emphasized, among other things, that “the need to hide the infamy of the deep state Justice and the separation of powers are altered. Unfortunately for you, fortunately our country has institutions. We participate both in the European Court of Human Rights and in the EU equally.”
“I am sure that this fight does not stop and will be vindicated in all these institutions. I am sure that these people who insulted every Greek woman and every Greek man will pay, because it is a shame for a country that entered Europe more than 40 years ago, today some people are exposing it with unprecedented in the year 2024. And I am sure that all the parties of the opposition, the democratic parties, will stand with us in this ongoing struggle” concluded the president of PaSoK in his intervention.
