Android manufacturers continue to work on universal file transfer

After Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo, Samsung is already supporting the development of a universal standard.

A few years ago, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo began working together on a universal wireless file transfer standard. Their alliance, called MTA, aims to make the universal standard work with 20 MB per second of wireless transmission.

OnePlus, Meizu, ZTE, Black Shark and HiSense, as well as ASUS, have since joined the alliance. Recently and Samsung.

Samsung’s move is significant because it’s one of the world’s largest mobile manufacturers, which also has its own wireless transmission standard called Quick Share (this has replaced Android Beam and an alternative to Nearby Share).

Of course, Quick Share will not disappear, but presumably the MTA system will also be supported by Samsung smartphones over time.
