AAWireless in the form of a prototype is a small box with a number of ports, which extends the capabilities of the car infotainment system with wireless Android Auto connectivity. The target device is to be smaller and not to offer, among other things, an Ethernet port, making it easier to hide in the vehicle.

It should be clearly noted that this is not an add-on that will cause the system to suddenly start working in a car without Android Auto. It is only about extending the capabilities of the current Android Auto to connect without wires.
Users who want to retrofit a vehicle with an Android Auto radio can take advantage of several third-party products. In 2018, we showed how it can be done using the example of a model Sony XAV-AX100. Everything indicates that now it is enough to buy the described AAWireless add-on from Indiegogo for this type of radio to enable wireless connectivity with the system.
To start production, the creators of AAWireless counted on collecting 220,000. dollars. At the time of writing this text, despite 43 days until the end of the campaign, the goal has already been achieved – the project was supported by almost 3,300 people. Importantly, AAWireless is not particularly expensive. Currently, it can be ordered for $ 55 (plus shipping, but it is possible worldwide), which is the equivalent of less than PLN 210. Deliveries are planned for February 2021.
