Android on Windows 11 still has a lot to prove to users, now that it’s being tested on the Dev version. This integration promises a lot for users, even though it’s not simple to install apps.
Some tools have emerged to facilitate this process and even open the door to apps other than those chosen by Microsoft. Now that batch expands and there is a new tool. It’s called WSA PacMan and wants to make life easier for users.
The WSA (Windows Subsystem for Android) is Microsoft's bet for Windows 11. After having integrated Linux into Windows 10, it's now Android's turn and its apps to arrive with the next version of its operating system.
To control how these apps are installed, Microsoft has chosen a list of those that are authorized. Of course, and inherent to Android, this limitation was quickly circumvented and today we can install any app, in a process that was not simple.
At the same time that the list of apps was opened, there were also other proposals to simplify and help this process. Now, reinforcing the proposal, comes the WSA PacMan, which is basically a graphical interface to access ADB commands, essential to install these apps.
As expected, the WSA PacMan is very simple to use. Users just need to have the apk on their machine to be able to install it on Windows 11. By calling this helper it will handle the entire process, preparing it to be used.
Present not GitHub, can be seen and all the code analyzed, which guarantees a lot of its security. In addition to the WSA PacMan itself, to use it you also need to have the WSA active and ready to be used on Windows 11, that is, in a development version.
This is yet another excellent alternative to help you install apps on Android on Windows 11. It takes all the complexity out of this process and opens the door to a long list of apps that can be installed and used on this new Microsoft system.
