There is bad news for the following 47 Android and iPhone cellphone users. Because, this series of smartphones will not be able to use WhatsApp starting October 24 2023.
Collect detikInet, WhatsApp announced that it is ending support for several legacy Operation Systems (OS). So many smartphones are affected, meaning they can’t use the conversation application anymore.
The following Android phones and iPhones will no longer receive updates from WhatsApp. Android cellphones that cannot use WhatsApp starting October 24 2023 are cellphones that use Android OS 4.1 to Android 4.4.4.
Meanwhile for iPhone, WhatsApp has disabled their operation on iOS 12 and below. Apart from that, there is a Microsoft OS that is no longer compatible with WhatsApp, namely KaiOS 2.5.0 and below.
If detikers’ cellphone uses Android 5.0 or iOS 12 and above, it can still run WhatsApp. WhatsApp will continue to provide updates on the cellphone.

Collect detikSulselvia its official help center page, WhatsApp announced that it would block the use of this chat application on several operating systems.
“Starting October 24 2023, only Android OS version 5.0 and newer will be supported,” said the statement on the official WhatsApp Help Center page, quoted by detikSulsel, Friday (16/9/2023).
