Andris Freidenfelds about “BB Breakfast”

“That’s why a special club was made – we kind of looked at each other all morning. There was also a glass jar – it could be hit, it didn’t break, we beat it against the board and it didn’t break. We needed that clink of glass and it didn’t come at the end,” he recalls. Šipkēvics adds that they even called the radio and asked – what is happening on the air – it was so believable. On the other hand, the interest of the whole society has shown itself well in the creation of the black humor top. “We asked the topic, some of our own examples, then Zeibot sat next to the phone and took calls from jokers. All those jokes came in within an hour on the hotline,” Freidenfeld recalls.

“There are also legends about those extras – who they were.

Our extras were Artūrs Skrastiņš and Andris Keišs. They were students in their time.

They came for a couple of weeks from the place, acted for the audience and laughed,” Freidenfeld shares an interesting fact. However, like many great things, “Radio SWH”, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, “Bee Bee Breakfast” ceased to exist. “We pretended everything was fine, but it wasn’t really any better,” says Freudenfeld, adding that they could have ended the show a little sooner.
