/ world today news/ The new ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to China Andrey Tehov yesterday presented his letters of credence to Chinese President Xi Jinping. This happened at an official ceremony at the Parliament Building in Beijing, where a total of 42 newly appointed ambassadors from around the world formally introduced themselves to the Chinese president.
In his speech after the ceremony, Xi Jinping said that China values friendship with the peoples of the world and is willing to expand cooperation with various countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. “We hope that the ambassadors will have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of China and will serve to strengthen partnership ties and build a communication bridge for bilateral relations,” the Chinese president added.
This year marks 75 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China and 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China.
