GERB will win, “Vazrazhdane” has not grown significantly, BSP is below 10%, and the new formation “Levitsa” has a chance to cross the 4% barrier
My intuition is that GERB will win the elections, commented sociologist Andrey Raichev for Euronews Bulgaria.
He predicts a very close result between the first two formations – GERB on the one hand and the union of “We continue the change” and “Democratic Bulgaria” on the other, and the election victory will bring mainly a psychological advantage.
“We will have a very close situation, but with a new factor – very serious pressure from the West and the USA for the stabilization of Bulgaria, and the reason is not some particular concern for our life, but in view of the war in Ukraine, where things are getting worse,” the sociologist pointed out.
According to him, Bulgaria should end the regime of perpetual elections.
“It seems to me that on April 3, a political situation will be created in which we will have the opportunity to leave,” predicted Raichev.
He believes that the electoral support for “Vazrazhdane” has not grown significantly, the BSP is below 10%, and the new “Left” formation has a chance to jump the 4% barrier to enter parliament.
“It is important for Bulgaria to have a stable government and it is important for the political parties to work out the necessary formula for this. Whoever remains second will have to support the first,” Raychev noted.
The sociologist also focused on President Radev’s comments about the war in Ukraine, admitting that this arouses serious dissatisfaction in the USA, and on the other hand, specified that the war in the east will become an increasingly decisive factor for domestic politics in our country.
