Andrew Parker Bowles, the former husband of Queen Consort Camilla, will reportedly be at the forefront of the crowd at Westminster Abbey for the coronation of King Charles. The Sunday Times reports that Parker Bowles will witness his first wife’s coronation beside the new king. Camilla and Parker Bowles were wed in 1973 and have two children together, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes. Although Camilla married Prince Charles in 2005 and Parker Bowles exchanged vows with Rosemary Pitman in 1996, the former couple’s children and grandchildren will also take part in the ceremony. Tom’s son Freddie and Laura’s twin sons Gus and Louis, all aged 13, will be Camilla’s pages of honour and carry the train of her robe during the grand occasion. However, Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, will not attend King Charles’s coronation ceremony. According to royal commentator Tom Bower, Sarah had excluded herself from the event due to her past conduct. Nevertheless, some royal watchers have expressed surprise at the decision to exclude her from the coronation.
