After a nearly five-month-long investigation, a report has established that the governor has on several occasions sexually harassed women, reports the news agency AP.
New York State Attorney Leitita James presented the report during a news conference Tuesday.
“These interviews and evidence have revealed a disturbing but clear picture: Cuomo has sexually harassed both current and former government employees,” Leitita said during the press conference.
Cuomo was accused earlier this year by a number of women of sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior.
The 64-year-old governor has denied having touched anyone inappropriately, but he said early on that he apologized if his behavior was misunderstood as flirting.
Cuomo has also cast doubt on the independence of the lawyers who were given the job of investigating the charges against him.
