Saverio Andreula (president OPI Bari): “Nurses must return to the center of assistance; essential to fight the Coronavirus; Puglia must enhance them as they deserve, we are at war and must also allow them to be part of the control room to counter the advance of Covid “.
The president ofOrder of Nursing Professions of Bari, Saverio Andreula, takes the field to reiterate once again the centrality of the Nurse in the processes of assistance, treatment and prevention. Its centrality became tangible and indispensable with the advent of Coronavirus pandemic.
Nurses are indispensable against Coronavirus, both in hospitals, both in RSAs, and on the territory. Without them, assistance stops and contagion increases exponentially. These professionals, however, need to be valued properly, to work also in a self-employed regime, to have decent salaries that are suitable for their skills and preparation.
Andreula, in an article on Teleregione Coolor, broadcaster of Barletta, treads the hand on the need to sit all around a table (housekeepers and health professionals) to decide how to fight together the Coronavirus that is advancing in an inexorable way throughout Puglia, that same Puglia that continues to mortify the nurses, offering them fixed-term contracts and starvation wages.
Here’s what the president said in detail Andreula in the program “Article 21”, conducted by his colleague Salvatore Petrarolo.
