“A false start,” he begins about the song. The song is said to be too similar to Gavin DeGraw’s song ‘Fire’. “When we heard that, I was very disappointed. We put so much time and love into it.” Billy does admit that he has heard Gavin’s number. “Just for the groove and tempo, we took Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ as a reference.”
The songwriter indicates that a lot of music is similar. “It’s just pop music and those chords fit twelve notes,” says Billy. “If you’re going to make a comeback record for André, you don’t think: I still know a big hit from the past. It’s just pure bad luck.”
André no longer wants to make pub music. “He also says: ‘Guys, even if I never score a hit again, I just want to make songs that make me feel good and that I can wear on stage.’ Even if he gets ten streams, he doesn’t care at all. He just wants to make music that he likes.” June 9th there is a new chance for André, then the next single will be released. “That’s definitely a contender to be a hit.”
André is now being followed by cameras for his American documentary. Billy tells us that he saw camera crews for that soap in the studio. More about the documentary in the video below.
