Andres Kalvik, head of the party’s public relations and Riigikogu faction’s media advisor, was elected chairman at the annual conference of the Raplamaa region of the Estonian Center Party.
Chairman of the Center Party, Jüri Ratas, said that Andres Kalvik has done his work with great dedication, primarily making sure that the party’s activities are widely covered in various media channels.
“Andres Kalvik has the necessary prerequisites for breaking through in politics, and he can use his energy and experience as a regional manager. The Raplamaa region needs a new lease of life, and I see the will of the new leadership to work hard to restore the leading position of the Center Party,” he said. Jüri Ratas.
Andres Kalvik according to Raplamaa, his main goals are to increase the party’s reputation and increase its membership. “During the Riigikogu election campaign, I met a number of active people in Raplamaa who were concerned about what was happening in society and who said that the government does not care how people manage to pay their daily expenses in conditions of high inflation. The Center Party is a balanced force in the polarizing political landscape, for whom the survival of people with lower incomes and standing for a strong middle class is of primary importance,” he noted.
Andres Kalvik added that the tax increases planned by the Reform Party will hit families living outside Tallinn’s golden circle the hardest. “The Center Party stands for the fact that a fulfilling life is possible even in smaller municipalities. This means that families must be given the opportunity to purchase or rent housing at an affordable price, good connections and fast internet must be guaranteed, and state investments should also reach outside of Tallinn,” explained Andres Kalvik.
