MEXICO — After the unfortunate death of actor Andrés García, his now widow Margarita Portillo shared how his last moments were, as well as his desire to be cremated and have his ashes scattered on the beach.
Speaking to TV Azteca’s “Venga la alegría” program, Portillo commented that the actor was going to receive a transfusion on Saturday, but decided not to because it was too late and he did not want to go.
“His hemoglobin was very low and his body was weak. I was seeing how little by little the situation was getting worse, so on Monday I asked my sister to bring a father to give him last rites.”
Portillo explained that “when they applied the holy oils it was wonderful because he fell asleep. He fell asleep and no longer woke up.

He also commented that “all the time we were together he didn’t want me to separate from him, he asked me to hold his hand. I told him everything I had to tell him until the last breath of life he had.”
When asked if the actor’s children would come to say goodbye to their father, Portillo, without wanting to give more details, said that one of the children will not be able to attend the wake.
In accordance with his last will, it has been decided to keep a vigil at the actor at home and then cremate him. According to Garcia’s wishes, his ashes will be scattered on the beach.
