Andreea Esca’s Tourist Cottages: Reviews, Conditions, and Profit- Making

In parallel with her career as a TV presenter, Andreea Esca also manages various businesses. Some time ago, she bought several cottages, which she turned into a tourist resort. But what do tourists think?

A few years ago, Andreea Esca and her husband made a resort of tourist cottages. All located in Porumbacu de Sus in Sibiu County. After refurbishing them, they put them up for rent.

Both tourists from Romania and those from abroad who want to enjoy a getaway in the middle of nature have the option of renting small cabins located directly on the banks of the Porumbacu River in Sibiu.

Regarding the rates, for one night’s accommodation, those interested must have the budget prepared for approximately 700 lei.

A tourist who recently stayed in them expressed his disappointing opinion on social media. He noticed problems such as hair, dust, the presence of mice and wood rot.

“Unfortunately, the beauty of the houses is overshadowed by the mess in them (hair everywhere, dust, uncleaned bathroom, unsanitary toilet literally, dirty with excrement), mice in the walls and decay in the wood. On the first day I had to go to the store for cleaning products to clean (totally abnormal)”, wrote the tourist.

The tourist noted that the breakfast is extremely expensive, 160 lei for a cottage, which basically means 80 lei per person. Also, in exchange for the payment, which was considerable, they did not benefit from the cleaning service, not even garbage bags. They found only one near the furnace.

Because of the unpleasant experience related to the services provided here, the tourist does not want to repeat such experiences.

“Yes, it’s nice on the outside, with colorful old houses, but I can’t understand the high marks they have given what I found here. I won’t say why it is found under the beds (the snakes are missing).

The neighbors we talked to had the same unpleasant experience as us,” the tourist confessed.

Esca has made a profit with the boxes since the first year

According to information from the Ministry of Finance, Andreea Esca managed to make a profit since the first year of the company’s activity.

Thus, in 2020, Oberwood recorded a turnover of almost 200,000 lei. But also a profit of 134,000 lei. The company’s main activity is “holiday and short-term accommodation facilities”.

It is equally owned by Andreea Esca and her husband, Alexandre Eram. The latter also serves as the company’s administrator.

The Oberwood complex consists of five traditional log cabins. All 150 years old, which have been meticulously restored and brought up to today’s comfort standards.
