Andreas Wieckenberg becomes general manager at Petersberg

The Steigenberger Grand Hotel on the Petersberg near Bonn has a new general manager, Andreas Wieckenberg (photo). He takes over the position from Raoul Hoelzle, who left the hotel group in September.

Andreas Wieckenberg has more than 20 years of experience in the upscale hotel industry. His career began at the legendary Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden. He then gained international experience at renowned brands such as the Mandarin Oriental in Macau, Las Vegas and Washington DC. A particular highlight was his position as Executive Assistant Manager at the iconic Raffles Hotel Singapore. Most recently, as general manager, Wieckenberg was responsible for the successful repositioning and economic turnaround of the traditional Parkhotel Quellenhof Aachen.

In his new role as General Manager, Wieckenberg has full financial and operational responsibility for the Steigenberger Grandhotel and leads a team of 110 employees. He reports directly to Thomas Knabner, Senior Director Operations H World International.
