Brunswick. The President of the Braunschweig Higher Regional Court, Wolfgang Scheibel, appointed District Court Director Andrea Tietze as the presiding judge at the Higher Regional Court today, Monday. The Higher Regional Court informed about this in a press release.
“Miss Dr. During her entire activity, which began in the district of the Goettingen district court, Tietze was not only unreservedly convincing as a judge in case law, but also made an outstanding contribution to the administration of justice,” stressed Scheibel when the certificate was handed over. “She shaped the public relations work at the Higher Regional Court and most recently managed the Goslar District Court with confidence. Miss Dr. With her remarkable determination, her binding communication and her empathetic personality, Tietze is a great asset for our court and has grown to the challenges of her new job as chairman.”
Stations in Lower Saxony
Andrea Tietze studied law in Göttingen and at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. After her legal clerkship in the higher regional court district of Braunschweig – during which she completed her doctorate – she entered the higher judicial service of the state of Lower Saxony in March 2006. After working for the public prosecutor’s office in Braunschweig and the district and district court in Göttingen, she was appointed judge at the district court in Göttingen in February 2010. In addition to her work as a judge in juvenile criminal law and civil law, she headed the working groups for trainee lawyer training.
Shortly after her trial in 2014, she was appointed judge at the Higher Regional Court in January 2015. She then headed the department for organization and IT until 2017 and was active in various civil senates. Between 2018 and her appointment as director of the Goslar district court in August 2021, she took over the position of press officer for the Braunschweig higher regional court and coordinated international contacts.
