Miss Universe, Andrea Meza, went to the Mexican consulate today to receive an important identification document.

Meza was at the facility to receive her consular registration and meet with a group of leading Mexican women from the tri-state area.
The model and makeup artist has a degree in systems engineering, and beat the 73 women vying for the crown of the Miss Universe pageant.

Meza is also an activist and works with the Municipal Institute for Women, which seeks to end gender violence.
Meza is in the process of moving to New York City to represent the Miss Universe brand and to work with various philanthropic organizations.
