Andrea Giambruno Talks About Relationship with Giorgia Meloni at Book Presentation

At the end. At the end of the presentation comes the question probably most awaited by those who have learned of the presence of Andrea Giambruno, former partner of Giorgia Meloni, at the presentation on Valentine’s Day of book by Candida Morvillo “You are a genius of love and you don’t know it”, published by HarperCollins.

“What does Giorgia represent for you today?”, the author asks him. “It’s the only question I answer, because it’s not group therapy – says the Mediaset journalist -. There are no mysteries. For me Giorgia was, is and will always be the most important person in my life. This is regardless of the fact that we started a family together. For me he is a fantastic person. I didn’t talk about it before and I won’t talk about it again.”

It is the first time that Giambruno returns to his relationship with the prime minister, after the latter’s decision to leave him following the off-air events broadcast by Striscia la Notizia. No further words, not even on the rumors of an alleged rapprochement relaunched by gossip sites. The former first gentleman dodges some questions from the author and from Gaia Tortorawho moderates the meeting, preferring to focus on his relationship with his daughter.

“I waited 50 years to love myself. Have you always loved yourself very much?”, Tortora asks him. “Well, in short…”, he replies, nodding, amidst the laughter of the half-filled room. “We’ve all had problems, but I’ve found a way to overcome them – he later clarifies -. When you’re younger you criticize your parents, then you accept them as they are. I hope my daughter can judge me for who I am. I have always tried to lift myself up with great honesty. I’m not a love genius, but I’m a decent person. I want to underline this.”

“A decent person”, he states, evidently in response to the accusations of sexism rained down on him after the inappropriate remarks addressed to his colleagues off-air. The prime minister’s former partner then makes some mention of childhood loves. “When I was young I experienced loves like all of us – he states -. Experiences must be had and lived, I’m not worried about my daughter’s future”. Candida Morvillo, writer for Corriere della Sera, meanwhile tells anecdotes from interviews with famous people, such as Antonio Banderas, with whom she often ends up talking about feelings. You then about the relationship with the readers at the Posta del Cuore on the Corriere del Mezzogiorno. In the book, which is also cheerful, she talks about how she has seen relationships change along with the spirit of the times. She has seen them gradually become less solid, she has seen them gradually break down gender barriers until they become fluid, and she has learned that it is possible to know all the answers to the questions that love asks us.
The author tries to explain how to love and how to be loved, how to find healthy love and how to avoid toxic relationships.
Then he indicates the six steps to love: giving value back to love; find the right person; avoid unhealthy relationships; build love; manage the leap in quality; overcome crises.
