The criticism and controversy faced by the participants of La Casa de los Famosos México does not end when they leave the reality show, as demonstrated by Luis ‘Potro’ Caballero and Mariana Echeverría, two of the participants least loved by the public who faced a very different reality when they were eliminated.
Becoming the fourth person eliminated from the successful Televisa reality show, the 40-year-old host is being invited to some programs to share her experience and clarify some attitudes that were seen over 29 days on 24/7. As Internet users had expected since Sunday, Mariana arrived at the Hoy forum and was questioned about a particular statement.
When she was still in the house, the former Se Vale host said that the morning show’s presenters couldn’t stand Arath de la Torre, because when she went there she always saw him standing apart. The statement was not well received by the public and the production of Hoy, since most of the hosts came out in her defense and dedicated words of support to the host, whom they said they had great affection for.

In an interview of approximately 15 minutes, the presenters of today questioned the actions of Marian Echeverría, especially where her colleagues Arath and Andrea Escalona were seen being smeared, because although in the reality show she did not specify which ‘Andrea’ she was referring to, in the morning show she confirmed that she was talking about Magda Rodríguez’s daughter.
“My perception was during a game that I was here on the program and I saw that Arath was giving out the answers… he was talking about Andrea Escalona,” he commented.
Almost immediately, Escola took the floor and responded: “Shall I tell you something? If there is someone I love, admire, respect, who is my friend, who is Tenorio’s friend, who was at my mother’s death, who was at my son’s birth, if there is someone with whom I have a close relationship of affection and who I have always been with, it is Arath de la Torre. I tell you this up front,” he pointed out.
Although Galilea Montijo wanted to intervene to show neutrality, Mariana again apologized and assured her that she did not intend to play the victim: “I apologize because I spoke without foundation, I was wrong and in the end it is not a reason to fight, many things are said, it is not a question of fighting, or tearing heads off, but of raising awareness, facing up to it and saying: ‘I screwed up’. I am not going to play the victim, nor am I going to justify it. I am going to learn.”

After her encounter with the member of the dysfunctional family in Me Caigo de Risa, the press could not help but question the host upon her departure from Televisa San Ángel. “When I apologize, I do it differently. I don’t judge, everyone has their own ways and things, but I thought her answer would be: ‘I got upset,’ but she lied to get along, she caught me off guard.”
Although she appreciated the apology, she mentioned that she felt that Mariana was dishonest; however, she recognizes that it is not easy to leave the reality show and realize how strongly people are judging you. “I didn’t want to confront anyone. The reality show and the game are inside, it gives us a great show, but my home is Hoy, and I would be incapable of trying to insult or attack someone in my home.
Finally, when asked what she thinks will happen to Mariana Echeverría’s career, she responded bluntly: “I am not an executive, nor a producer, I am talent. I always try to pamper them when they come home. I am nobody to decide about anyone’s career, not even my own. I try to welcome them well, the truth is I have a very good vibe.”
