After resigning from the presidency of Juventus Turin, in November 2022, Andrea Agnelli remains mired in legal affairs. On Monday, the Italian Federation Court (FIGC) sentenced the 47-year-old Italian to a 16-month ban from performing any football-related function. The FIGC say it is a case of irregularities in the club’s payments to players, relating to the Prisma investigation which concerns Juve’s wage manoeuvres.
He was also fined 60,000 euros.
President of the Old Lady from 2010 to 2022, Agnelli will also have to pay a fine of 60,000 euros. At the heart of the financial scandal that caused Agnelli’s resignation, Juventus agreed in May to pay a fine of 718,000 euros and not to contest a penalty of 10 points in Serie A, as part of a agreement with the Italian football authorities.
