President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (BTP) alias Ahok will form a Special Team in the state-owned company. Later, the Special Team will focus on handling and renegotiating with potential investors who have been interested in collaborating in the Pertamina refinery project.
Responding to the plan, Member of Commission VI DPR RI from the Gerindra faction, Andre Rosiade, gave a warning so that the special team would work without exceeding the authority of Pertamina’s Board of Directors.
“We remind you not to exceed your authority, not to be offside which eventually caused a commotion again. So, we reminded you from the start, you can warn us, we will remind you. Because in this republic there are rules, “said Andre to detikcom, Saturday (3/10/2020).
However, Andre confirmed that his party fully supported Ahok’s steps to form the team. However, he asked the team to continue to carry out their duties according to the authority of the Board of Commissioners (Dekom), namely supervising, not making decisions.
“Dekom and the team that they form are welcome to supervise and provide input. But once again I remind the corporation, good corporate governance (GCG) that the Dekom team is responsible for supervising, not participating in executing, that needs to be underlined. So the execution authority lies with directors, and the accountability rests with the directors, not the commissioners, “explained Andre.
According to Andre, Ahok’s intention was good in the plan to form this Special Team, but that does not mean that the principles of GCG can be violated.
“We remind you from the beginning of October 3, not to let this team make a scene because someone exceeds its authority. Please form this team, but we remind you that the decision is in the hands of the board of directors. Don’t let us have good intentions but violate GCG, that’s important,” he said. he.
Apart from that, Andre also asked that in supervising the process of seeking cooperation for this refinery project, Ahok as the Commissioner did not insist on making a decision.
“We remind you not to exceed their authority. Where to force this, you should be executed, because the authority for this execution is in the hands of the board of directors.
