MADRID – It is not the first time and certainly will not be the last time that the Dutch violinist conductor André Rieu comes to Spain with his Johann Strauss Orchestra. In March 2023, three performances are planned in Málaga, Barcelona and Madrid. Tickets are already on sale, but hurry because as you know the concerts of the swinging Maastricht resident are also sold out quickly in Spain.
On March 10, André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra will perform at the Palacio de Deportes José María Martín Carpena in Málaga. The concert will be held on March 12 at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona. On March 14, André Rieu will make the audience dance and sing at the WiZink Center in Madrid. The last time André Rieu came to Spain was just before the pandemic in 2019, when concerts were held in Barcelona, Madrid and Bilbao in November. That was the first time in 20 years that the ‘rey del vals’, as Rieu is also called in Spain, performed in Spain. It happened in 1999 in Madrid and Barcelona.
