A surprising decision has been made Andrew Onan. At the age of just 26, Onana has decided to retire Cameroon national team.
Onana announced his retirement on his social media account, on Friday (12/23/2022).

“Every story must have an end and therefore my journey with the Cameroon national team must end,” said Onana.
“Players come and go, they don’t last forever, but Cameroon will always be in our hearts, as well as my love for the national team and for the people who have always supported us in all kinds of conditions.
“My feelings will never change. I am a Cameroonian wherever I am. I will defend the Cameroonian name to the death.”
Onana’s decision to retire from the Cameroon national team could not be separated from the dispute with coach Rigobert Song of World Cup 2022. At the time, Onana only played in the opening match as Cameroon was defeated by Switzerland 0-1.
Song did not play Onana in the second match against Serbia, before the former Ajax Amsterdam player left the team early.
Investigate the calibration, Song did not like Onana’s playing style, which was too bold to anticipate the goal. Instead, she asked Onana not to take any chances.
Andrew Onan he has now returned to Inter, a club he has strengthened since the start of this season. He played 13 times with 16 goals conceded and five clean sheets.
