The decision was not a surprise for most, as the small forward has repeatedly emphasized that the previous season will probably be his last.
Iguodala was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2004, and during his 19-year career he also played for the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat, but he clearly achieved his greatest success with the Warriors. Total during his years in Golden State he pocketed four rings, and was also elected the most valuable player (Finals MVP) of the 2015 NBA Finals.
The 39-year-old player also told the Times that he now wants to open a new chapter in his life, namely as an investor.
