André Hazes throws his son Dré under the bus: ‘Not a real talent’

André Hazes recently joined is the soccer coach of his eight-year-old son Drré. The artist receives a lot of questions online about this new work and Dré’s football talent, but André was not impressed with his little “football talent” at first, he says on Monday: “More Hockey Boy” (see video).

André shares three videos on his Instagram story in which he probably explains Dré’s football development a little too honestly to his followers. “How does Dré do it? Well, I’ll tell you. I don’t know if he sees my video, but Dré: this is the truth,” André begins nonchalantly. The artist makes no bones about it: “At first I thought: ‘Yes… Maybe he’s a hockey boy too’. I didn’t think it was talent ‘ there, so to speak.”

André admits that he thought it would be better for his son not to play football after seeing him play at the beginning. “But that’s where you go wrong as a parent!”, he thinks. “I really see it becoming more and more unusual. ” His son now trains twice a week, including once at Feyenoord, and he also plays a match once a week. “And I really see it getting better and better,” says André proudly (see video below).

‘Your son is really dangerous’

André gives an example from last weekend, when Dré played a game. “Then we won 5-4 and Dré had scored four times. That’s what they all want to score, but he had some vision about passing, which made me think: “Yes, he’s starting it understand.’ The trainer of that team also came to me and said: ‘Bro, your son is very dangerous!’ ” André beams.

He continues with pride: “At half-time they also said: ‘You have to cover that big boy! The one with the pink shoes!’ That’s my child, so I was very proud.” André also sums up the moral of the story at the end: “If your child says he wants to play football – and he does all kinds of ideas you have about (…) -, give it to him! It happens naturally, let it. give it to yourself too, because it’s a lot of fun.”

André also went big for Dré’s eighth birthday recently, which can be seen below:
